Varsity 3A scores increase from Fremd to Lake Zurich
The 3A teams as a group look like they did more than stuff themselves full of Thanksgiving fixins and holiday treats during the 2 week interval between the Fremd contest (11/23/13) and Lake Zurich (12/8/13).
16 3A routines appeared at both invitationals, and the average change in score was +5.65. Only 3 routines lost points, and those that did only slid slightly (the biggest drop was only -3.27). The other 13 routines gained points, including a +19.53 for Mundelein’s lyrical.
Other notable gains include McHenry’s pom (+11.03), West Aurora’s jazz/open dance (+12.90), Jacobs’ hip hop (+7.13), Stevenson’s jazz/open dance (+6.83), and Buffalo Grove’s pom (+6.76).
With a couple more big competitions this weekend at Eisenhower and Stevenson, there’s plenty of opportunity for routines to continue trending upward as we head into winter break and the big showdown at Sears Centre on January 4th.
