1ST TIME ON THE 8CA ALL-STATE DANCE TEAM

My favorite dance team memory was when I performed for the last time on the state floor with this specific team. I remember all of us coming off the floor and crying and hugging everyone. This year’s team was such a special team and it felt so good dancing with this family one last time before our seniors left! We acknowledged all of our hard work and dedication during the season together!
One thing you should know about me is that I am a very hard worker…I danced hiphop my whole life and didn’t start taking ballet classes until I was in 7th grade! One thing you should know about my teammates is that every single one of them brings such a big impact and value to our team. They all have so many strengths and they all have very kind hearts. One thing you should know of our team is that we continue to grow and grow each season. We all have a grit mindset and we are determined to continue to grow and grow some more.
I want to give a shout-out to my mom and dad for always supporting me with all my dancing! They always take time out of their day to come to all my dance events and have never missed one! I also want to give a huge shoutout to Coach Clay for always pushing me and believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself. She puts so much work into our program and I hope she knows how much we appreciate everything she does for us! LYMI! Lastly I want to give a huge shoutout to some of my teammates…Saniyah and Brooke. They are the most positive and supportive teammates I could ever have. They will never judge anyone and are always bringing a smile to my face! They continue to support me and always cheer me on with anything I have accomplished!
I love to perform hiphop but I love to watch lyrical and the emotion that dancers bring to it!
I love to spend time with my friends and family! When I’m not hanging out with them, I love to read, take my dog out to runs, and love to take pictures with my camera!
Anahi is a first year Varsity member whose work ethic, fun spirit and kind soul just embody what every coach wants in an athlete. She is always putting in the extra work to be better for herself and her team and we wouldn’t be the same without her!
