slide 1: Fremd

This team’s always a contender but they really stepped it up this year. Just a couple weeks before this Day 2 IHSA state moment, Fremd picked up the MSL conference title.

The Falconettes warm up on their shiny practice floor at afternoon practice on November 1st.

This high-energy team was one of our choreography clients this season, and we were so proud to run the season in support of a CPS team!

Loaded with talent every year, the Libertyville dancers once again made themselves known every time they hit the comp floor. This shot’s from Rolling Meadows on January 12th.

So many 2A teams were great this season, but I always thought Wauconda deserved more credit. Their athletes had a successful night at the 1/11 conference competition at Grant. Thanks so much to the team for sending in this pic!

Undeniably one of the most solid 1A teams in the state, the Clinton M-Squad came in 9th on Day 2 of IHSA State. A couple weeks later I got to see them rock the IDTA state floor in the single-A division.

With the way Illinois dance is going, any kick routine at a competition is like a breath of fresh air. At the Naperville North competition on 12/2, the Leydenettes entertained the crowd with their visually appealing kick routine.

Ah, Portillos. Ah, Glenbard West Dance. Two awesome things, together on one fundraiser night at the Glendale Heights location.

The Streatorettes have quite a lengthy state competition history in IDTA. 8CA staffer Malea caught up with them at awards on December 1st at the Minooka IHSA comp.

One of the best-kept secrets in Chicago-area dance is the Marist dance program. Solid pom and jazz work, year after year. Here they are crushin’ their home routine at the Eisenhower UDA camp on 7/20.

slide 12: Zumbrota-Mazeppa (Minnesota)

Hopefully you were watching the stream from Minnesota’s state comp on February 15th. Day 1 was the Jazz category, and it was amazing from start to finish. These Z-M dancers obviously love that Class A 2nd place trophy!

A week before their 3A championship-winning performance, the NN dancers got to celebrate a sectional win at Geneva.
