Our instructors have excelled at consistently bringing their teams to state, but their qualifications go much further. They each excel at teaching technique in a competitive dance team setting, helping athletes striving to get the most out of a rubric, and all in the context of choreography. Each of them has long been committed to the 8 Count Audio philosophy of putting growth on the same pedestal as achievement — even before ever joining our team! Hannah competed with the Huntley Dance Team and went on to coach 1A Genoa-Kingston during a stretch of state-bound seasons in the mid-2010s. She brought that same culture of excellence to Sycamore as head coach for the past few seasons, and has just started as an assistant with the St. Charles East Dance Team.
Alli danced on the dominant Crystal Lake Central teams of the late 2000s and was on the dance team at Miami (OH). She took over the CLC program as its head coach in 2013, overseeing their highly successful transition from pom to jazz and lyrical. This spring she was named the new head varsity coach at HD Jacobs.
Laura competed on Stevenson's high-achieving dance team and, after college, came back to join her former team as an assistant. Her team is the current 3A state champion in IHSA and also reigns as a national champion in Dance Team Union.

We’ll review your video clips, discuss your team’s needs and goals, and map out an instructional experience that works for you. Your private team page will have all the info you and your dancers will need to prepare for an optimal session.
After proper warmups you’ll dive right into the heart of your technique experience. Depending on the format you’ve picked out, your team might work through combinations where they can test out their refined skills. They’ll get instructor feedback in predetermined small groups for the best possible visibility.
Notes, video clips, tips and reminders go up on your private team page so you can easily refer back to your valuable experience anytime! You’ll also be able to post clips, receive corrections and feedback, and track your progress all year.
We’re teaming up with local studios around the state to host 8CA workshops around the state! No cookie-cutters here. We’ll give you a technique-building experience based on your location and whether you’re mainly concerned with the IHSA or IDTA rubric in Illinois (or both!). Our certified instructors bring their coaching, cleaning, and personal dance team experience to sessions that expand your technical toolbox. You’ll have team-building activities that will help you create the meaningful memories, mental tools, and shared experiences that will carry you throughout the season–from practices to sidelines to the comp floor. You’ll get the whole 8CA experience, too–positivity, celebrations and affirmations, and fun coverage on our social media!
We’ll bring you a customized session based precisely on you and your team’s goals and preferences. Our modular approach lets you build the right half or full day experience for your specific needs. Turns, leaps, pom tech, hip hop tech. Combinations and building blocks for routines. Yoga. We can even zoom in on a section of your organization’s rubric.
