In a competitive atmosphere, it’s all too easy to either overvalue the heights of the present or undervalue the achievement and growth that came before it. Skills and artistic levels might be higher than ever, but without the legacy of well over 40 years of competitive dance in Illinois, we wouldn’t have the generations of coaches, judges, and dancers that nurtured the sport to what it is today. Whether it’s last year or last century, we’re committed to celebrating and preserving the history of this sport.
