This is how we started! Back in the 2001-02 season, we started cutting music for dance teams and went full-out for the '02-'03 campaign. It's where our name comes from ...dancers count in eights, and we've specialized in the audio side of their dance routines for two amazing decades.
A lot of ingredients go into a successful year for any dance team. We offer technical sessions and intensives, choreography, and consultations to help dancers and coaches maximize their experiences both before and during competition season.
Besides loving being in the bleachers for halftime dances and competition performances, we create social media and blog content that spotlights teams with a special focus on our home state of Illinois.
We use our social media platforms to cover and report on competition results here in Illinois, ensuring the dance community from across the state stays connected and mutually supportive.
We strive to make sure each dance team gets a positive, supportive comment for each of their performances at competitions. We actively support the entire dance community to join in!
We know how potent positivity, unity, and historical perspective are in creating a richer and more meaningful competition environment. We know this because of the feedback and appreciation we get, the excitement and anticipation of our content and events, and even from the resistance we get from those who have a different approach to our sport.
We’ve edited and remixed the music for over 40 dances that have won category championships in Illinois’ IDTA and TDI organizations, the sanctioning bodies that high school dance teams competed in prior to IHSA’s first competitive dance season in 2012-13. We’re proud to say IDTA continues strong today. And we’re super proud of being the music people for the first ever class 2A IHSA championship in 2013!
