What’s it like to perform at such a high level in both IDTA and IHSA?
It feels like an honor to compete at such a prestigious event every year and to make it this far. We are extremely grateful to be a part of such a fantastic J’ette organization.
Was there a point in the fall or early season when you realized you were going to have a great winter?
We had such a great experience at our summer camp with NDA. We were successful individually and as a team. And we all bonded together!! We also saw extreme potential at our first competition in Edwardsville.
Any team skills you guys are really good at?
Ballet: jetés. Jazz: we have really good leaps and jumps.
Fave dance style to perform?
Lyrical / contemporary.
Fave dance style to watch?
Pom.
Other teams you’re fans of?
Morris and Joliet Catholic.
Most memorable moments from your season so far?
As a team, our most memorable moments were winning sectionals for IHSA and setting a new record for the J’ettes at state for IHSA. We also love spending time together on long bus rides home after competitions!
