THE SUPER-QUICK INTERVIEW:
What’s it like to get to perform at IDTA’s state finals, and what’s your preparation been like?
It’s an amazing opportunity to be able to go but to perform is an even bigger honor. Preparation for our team is daily practice, team bonding, and motivating each other through motivational talks.
Was there a point in the fall or winter when you realized you were having a really good season?
Because we have had a lot of adversity and we were unsure of having a season, we are thankful for the opportunity to compete.
What are the keys to a good kick routine?
They key aspects to a kick routine are teamwork, communication, pointed toes, sportsmanship, character, and head placement.
When not kicking, what are some other styles you’ve had fun performing this season?
We love to perform mixed routines that consist of pom, hip hop, and jazz.
Favorite style of dance to watch?
We love watching pom, hip hop, and lyrical.
Are there other teams you guys are big fans of?
Some of our favorite teams are Unity, Highland, Jacksonville, Knoxville Jr High, and Elmwood.
What are some fave memories of the season up to this point?
Some of our best moments include dance clinic, team bonfire, dancing at all of the home playoff games, and secret Santa.
