REAVIS RAMETTES DANCE TEAM (senior)

1ST TIME ON THE 8CA ALL-STATE DANCE TEAM

Since freshman year

Group hugs after an exceptional performance during every dance season are my all time favorite memories. Some more favorite memories also consist of all the “last first” moments that I experienced during this last senior year of mine because I cherished those moments so much more.

I am one of four captains on the varsity level team and I strive to encourage my teammates to keep going when things get hard because continuing to practice and persevere helps us improve our technique over time. I put my all into being a captain and I try not to abuse my captain power because my team is my second family because we’ve all grown closer over our years spent with each other. Another thing that should be known about our team is that we don’t let a performance score determine our worth because we always put our all into each performance.

I wanted to give a specific shoutout to our head coach, Kaitlyn Munoz, for always being there for our team, even when she was terribly sick on competition days. The team is so grateful that she was always there for us no matter what. She’s done so much for the team and we’re beyond lucky and thankful to have her as our coach. Coach Munoz is a great mentor and leader and we all love her so so much. The Ramettes want to thank her for her dedication to the team and for the nonstop encouragement. I also want to give a special shoutout to my other 3 captains, Mia Ramirez, Jaqueline Prado, and Samantha Gilliland, for the great teamwork and problem solving we’ve experienced this season. Together we were able to guide and support our team as well as put out a great performance at every competition. I couldn’t have asked for better girls to be captains with because we all put our all into this dance team and I just wanted to say that I love you guys so much!

I like to perform and watch pom but I really enjoy watching all other styles of dance

Baking/cooking, going on walks, and spending quality time with people

A varsity captain who is one of only two freshmen girls who joined during the 2020 Covid year!
