1ST TIME ON THE 8CA ALL-STATE DANCE TEAM
I have been dancing for about 5 years
My favorite dance team memory from comp season is after the awards ceremony at DTU nationals, when we and a few other teams had a dance party back up to our rooms congratulating ourselves.
Me and my team are more than just a group of dancers coming together to win trophies—we are a family. We support each other in and outside of dance.
I would love to shout out our senior Serene, a.k.a. head captain, for giving us an amazing season and giving me guidance on how a captain is to lead. I appreciate you so so much, and can’t wait to see you continue to shine and prosper. I would love to shout out our head coach, Jazmyne Davis. We appreciate you for always putting us first and having the purest intentions. Thank you for continuing to help us grow as dancers, and giving us guidance to becoming a better version of ourselves. We love you!!

I like to study criminal justice and play with my niece.
Kiarah is co-captain of the team and is such a powerhouse! Dance is her whole entire world. No matter who she’s dancing next to she will always stand out. Her hard work and dedication have been admirable. We couldn’t have done this season without her.
