Tess Brooks
GARDNER-SOUTH WILMINGTON PANTHERETTE SPIRITLINE (junior)
2ND TIME ON THE 8CA ALL-STATE DANCE TEAM (previous: 2023)

I’ve been dancing for 14 years

My favorite memory from this year was going to the start the beat competition and being able to dance at IDTA and IHSA state.

I’m a super quick learner. I love all styles of dance jazz is probably my favorite. I’m super flexible and have crazy toe touches.

I’d like to shout out Gardner-South Wilmington for supporting my dance career. Also thank you to Coach Swisher for being an awesome coach. Thank you to Mrs. Leigh for pushing me so hard; she was the coach my freshman and sophomore year. Also shout out Forte Arts Center in Morris for being such an amazing studio, working with my crazy schedule, and bettering me as a dancer. Finally, shout out to my mom for dealing with my crazy schedule and for putting me in dance. She helped me find the sport I love and has encouraged me through out my entire journey.

I like to preform jazz. I like watching lyrical, jazz, and pom

I like to hang out with my friends. I enjoy relaxing with my cat.

Tess has been a rockstar on this team since she started her freshman year. She never backs down from a challenge and is never afraid to try something new. Her dance ability really shines when she performs, and she draws everyone’s eyes to her. She always offers up choreography changes and is the first one to try new things. She will be an exceptional leader her senior year and we can’t wait for her future on the team.
