2ND TIME ON THE 8CA ALL-STATE DANCE TEAM (previous: 2023)

I have been dancing for three years now, since my freshman year.

Our dance team performed at a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game—it was an exciting experience for our team. Our team also had the opportunity to perform for halftime at an SIU Men’s Basketball game. Our whole team had lots of fun, and some of my friends and family came to watch us.

I just really love dancing. I like the uniqueness of it, and I enjoy watching and learning all the jumps and tricks. I love being on the CHS Dance Team because everything we do, we do as a team. Something we always remind ourselves of is to to have a team mindset, and our coaches are great at doing that. I couldn’t ask for better coaches for our team. They care so much about us, and they are very encouraging. This year, we had the biggest dance team since I’ve been in high school, and everyone has improved so much this past year.

My coaches Adrianne, Emily, and Bailey, my parents, my brother, my grandparents, my boyfriend, and my friends who came to watch me at competitions, and Studio 84.

I enjoy performing open pom, and I really like watching jazz routines.

I like hanging out with my mom, and I like doing things with my family. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends.

Mirra is a third year dance team member. Mirra is an all around dancer and teammate. There is no task given to Mirra that she does not succeed at. She is a silent leader to her team. Mirra is a very impressive dancer and she does not even realize how talented she really is. As a teammate she cares about everyone on her team including her coaches, such as checking in on everyone and make sure everyone has the support they may need. She is always thinking about what’s next with dance by sending videos of herself practicing, choreography ideas for routines, and fun ideas to share with the team.
